Trip Overview

Dhampus Sarangkot Trek is short hiking trip around Pokhara valley. Dhampus and Sarangkot is separate places each other. Sarangkot is just above Pokhara city where you can even seen from your hotel. Pokhara is the most famous town in Nepal and for tourism places as well. It is also known as city of lakes. Dhampus is the beautiful village settled by Gurung community.

It is the gateway to Annapurna region and most popular trekking area of Nepal. Travelers who do have limited holiday schedule can do this trek. Dhampus Sarangkot trek is an ideal trek for first time visitor who are not experienced trekkers. From Dhampus and Sarangkot, you can see high peaks of Annapurna mountains range and diverse landscape with varied culture and tradition. Good accommodation and meals are available in this trekking region. Ethnic culture, Spectacular mountain view, beautiful gurung villages, Buddhist monastery, paved courtyard are the main attraction of this trek. Mostly the people of this region were served in Indian and British army and the rest of them are engaged in farming occupation.

The trek begins from Phedi with the drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara for 6/7 hrs and ends at Pokhara city. After 1 hours drive to Phedi from Pokhara hotel then we starts our hike to Dhampus which is one of the beautiful place to see the snowcapped Himalayas and beautiful landscapes and next day trek goes to Sarangkot view point then to Fewa lake.

Day1 : Arrival Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel - (1350m.) After your arrival in Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, our office representative will welcomed you by warm greetings. And then transfer to hotel for your refreshment. After refreshment, our Himalayan guide will come to hotel and interact with you and about trekking route. In the evening, we will have together welcome Nepali cousin dinner at restaurant.
Day2 : Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing After your breakfast at 7:00 AM in the morning, we forward to visit some of the UNESCO world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley. Today, you will visit biggest Hindus holy temple Pashupatinath, largest Buddhist stupa Bouddhanath, monkey temple called Swyambhunath and the ancient Kathmandu durbar squares. And then transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel included bed and breakfast.
Day3 : Drive to Pokhara by tourist bus about 7hrs. (820m.) After breakfast around 6:00 AM, we take a drive at 7:30 AM from Kathmandu to Pokhara OR fly to Pokhara about 35 minutes. It takes about 7 hourss scenic drive along the bank of Trishuli River to get Pokhara from Kathmandu. And transfer to hotel for the refreshment. Overnight at hotel included bed and breakfast.
Day4 : Drive to Phedi and trek to Dhampus (1,750m.) - 3/4hrs Trek. Today, after breakfast we take private taxi or jeep drive about half an hour from hotel to Phedi. And then we begin our trek by ascending to Dhampus village for 3/4 hours. We pass through beautiful rice terrace, settlement and green forests. Overnight in Dhampus at lodges includes all the three meals. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day5 : Trek to Sarangkot (1,590m) - 4hrs. Trek. In the morning, we take hot breakfast before starts our today's trek. The hike passes via rice paddies, awesome hills, landscapes and beautiful views of the Himalayan ranges. Sarangkot is one of the Nepal's best sunrise and sunset view point from where you can see glorious views of Annapurna (8,091m.), Dhaulagiri (8,167m.), Ganesh Himal (7,446m.), Manaslu (8,165m.), Machhapuchhre (6,993m.) and many others. You will also see the splendid views of Pokhara city. Overnight at lodge in Sarangkot included full board meals. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day6 : Trek to Bank of Phewa lake 2/3hrs Trek & half days Pokhara city sightseeing - (820m.) Early in the morning we enjoy glorious sunrise view from Sarangkot and starts downhill trek with magnificent mountain view to Pokhara city. We will walk about 2/3 hours to the bank of the Phewa lake. We take a boat to cross beautiful Fewa lake and visit David fall, Mahendra cave and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara included bed and breakfast.
Day7 : Drive back to Kathmandu After your breakfast, either take a drive or fly back to Kathmandu city. We will transfer to hotel from the bus station or airport. And in the evening we will have farewell dinner program with cultural dance show.
Day8 : Departure Day Today is your departure day; our office representative will come to hotel to pick up you and drop off to the international airport and pray for your safe journey to home. We hope to see you again in near future.
