Trip Overview

Kathmandu Valley Tour shows you all the tourism attractions that are in three places; the first is Kathmandu itself; the other 2 are Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Each of these places is dotted with historical monuments. The historical monuments that these places have are temples, stupas, palaces, and museums, and they are more than thousand years old. Kathmandu, where you land from your country to enjoy Kathmandu Valley Tour, has so many temples that it is called “The City of Temples.” These temples are famous for beautiful architectures and designs, in addition to seeing these, you head off to the palaces that are in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur, where you will walk in their courtyards as the kings and queens used to in the past, and where you will be amazed by their beautiful windows and wooden crafts, made bythe famous Nepalese architectures of that period.

Pashupatinath temple, which is one of the main historical highlights of Kathmandu Valley Tour, is built in the Nepalese pagoda style and has roofs, made of copper and gold. On the other hand, Patan, which has Patan Durbar Square, is one of the oldest Buddhist cities. The famous places of Patan that you visit are temples, religious shrines, and historical places. Unlike Patan Durbar Square, Swayambhunath has a dome like structure at its base, above which you see a cubical structure. This structure has painted eyes of Buddha. However, Kathmandu Durbar Square is surrounded with spectacular Newari architectures and has a living goddess called Kumari, the incarnation of Durga. Another square, that Kathmandu Valley Tour takes you is Bhaktapur Durbar Square, one of the important and highly visited UNESCO World Heritage Sites. One and half hour is enough to explore the attractions of this square, and these attractions are 55 windows, golden gate, lions gate, Natyapola temple and Bhairava Nath temple.

Kathmandu Valley Tour cannot be looked upon completely as a historical tour because it also takes you to Nagarkot, a hill-station, which has a view tower, from where the view of the mountains, such as Everest, Annapurna Ranges, Gaurishankar, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang Ranges can be seen beautifully, including the sunrise and sunset view on them.
