Trip Overview

Manaslu Round Trekking is an excellent hike across the unspoiled Manaslu region. Where the trail remains uncrowded and beautiful mountain view. As most of the trekkers visiting Nepal are attracted towards a more commercial trekking route in either the Everest or the Annapurna region.

Manaslu round trekking opened to trekkers in 1991, It takes backpackers near to the Tibetan border, which is also why this trek requires a special trekking permit. The trek circumnavigates the mighty Mt. Manaslu, which at 8,156 meters is the eighth highest peak in the world. Besides a panoramic view of peak, the trek also allows trekkers to observe the diverse wildlife and vegetation of Nepal along with the ancient Buddhist traditions practiced in this remote region.

This trek starts from Gorkha Bazaa. Gorkha is the historical place of Nepal from where started to Unified by prithivi Narayan Shaha. And another place to start is Arughat bazaar. Arughat bazaar lies in the Dhading district and it is bordering with Gorkha district as well. There is a big river which called Budi Gandaki. This river is sleeping as border between Dhading and Gorkha district.

Some groups takes a route to exist at Beshishahar, and some groups follow to Thorong pass trek also. You can do Manaslu combine Tsum valley which mostly new founded trekking route in Nepal. Tsum valley trek can be done first and follow to Manaslu trek or first Manaslu up to Dharamsala then take a turn to Tsum valley and end at Arughat. You need to pay extra special permit for Tsum valley which is about USD 35 for a week.

Manaslu round trekking is just only one day little bit difficult over the Larkya la pass. Larkya La pass elevation is 5100 meter above sea level. After Larkya pass going down is more slippery. But this will be away from our carefully staffs and their experience of decade. Manaslu trek could do luxuries as camping trek or tent trek. Besides camping trek on this route, you can also do as a homestay trek which is the best way to explore the local lifestyle and their culture.

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,360m) You will be warmly welcomed at airport by our office representative and then transfer to your hotel. Our trekking guide will give brief explanation about the program. This day you can stay within the hotel or enjoy night at Thamel, Kingsway especially famous for typical Nepali stuffs and restaurant/bars.
Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing This day, you will visit many cultural heritages, which includes some of the famous world's heritages which are Pashupatinath, Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Bouddhanath stupa. You can do shopping various Nepalese cultural stuffs in this day. And Back to HOTEL FOR overnight.
Day 3 : Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar After our breakfast, we will leave for Aarughat via Dhading Bensi. Dhading Bensi is about 3 hours bus ride. Arughat is more 3 hours journey from Dhading Bensi. The road is well pitched up to Dhading Bensi whereas the road is rough after you cross Dhading Bensi. The journey to Aarughat goes through scenic villages, rivers and even the sight of Ganesh Himal & Manaslu is visible. Overnight at lodge on full board meals.
Day 4 : Trek to Seti Khola - 5 hrs walk Spending a night at Aarughat, we will head towards Soti Khola after having our breakfast. A 5 hours trek goes along river through beautiful villages. Starting our trek, we will follow Budi Gandaki River towards northern side. On the way, we pass through beautiful Morder and Simre village and then we will reach Arkhet River. Crossing the river, we will slowly start climbing towards Kyoropani. We will camp at the junction point with Seti Khola. You can freshen up by taking bath in the river. Overnight at camp with full board meals.
Day 5 : Trek to Machha Khola (9,90m) - 5-6 hrs walk After our breakfast, we will commence our walking. The trial ascends up to the ridge of Almara. The trial goes through pine forest and some beautiful villages. After we pass the forest, we will reach Riden Gaon and then we will cross the river to its next side. The trial follows the bank of Budi Gandaki River. Finally we will be at Maccha Khola. Overnight at camp with full board meals.
Day 6 : Trek to Jagat (1,370m) - 6 hrs walk The trial goes through Machha River and Khrola Besi. After we cross them, we will get a hot spring on the way called Tatopani, where you can take a bath. Going further, we will pass a forest, reaching to Dovan. You can see almighty Budi Gandaki River flowing below Dovan. With the increase in heights, the trek becomes more challenging. Overnight at lodge with full board meals
Day 7 : Trek to Ekkli Bhatti (1,610m) - 5 hrs walk The next 5 hours walk to reach up to Ekkli Bhatti. The trial goes ascending through a terraced hilly of Saguleri village where you can have the enchanting view of Sringi Himal (7,177m). We can rest a while to enjoy the view of beautiful mountain. Continuing the journey, the trial goes through Sirish Gaon and narrow Gandaki valleys and some tall walls. Overnight at lodge with full board meals.
Day 8 : Trek to Bihi (1,990m) - 6 hrs walk After having hot breakfast, we will set off for Bihi which is about 6 hours walk. The trek starts following Deng River and the trial next goes through a newly built rock tunnel. The influences of Tibetan culture start to appear as you can see Mani stones and Chortens around it. Overnight at lodge with full board meals.
Day 9 : Trek to Lihi (2,920m) - 6 hrs walk Wake up, be fresh, have breakfast and walk to Lihi. Another 6 hours trek, the journey goes through wooden bridge over Budi Gandaki River. Going forward the trial passes some houses and cultivated fields. We will find a police check post when we reach at Namru. After we pass Nimru, we will go across Hinan river and then Sho. The trial also provides you the view of peaks like . Naike peak, Manaslu north (7,774m) and Manaslu (8,150m) which will lessen you exhaustion . Overnight at lodge with full board meals.
Day10 : Trek to Samagaun (3,500m)- 6 hrs walk The trek to Samagaun of about 6 hours goes through many beautiful spots. Passing the stone gate and a long Mani stone wall of the village can be a good walk to have. Similarly, the beauty of Peak 29 is awaiting you after we pass Lho village. With the view of Peak 29, you can even have a visit to Pungen Glacier which offers you the close view of Mt. Manaslu. Following Pungen Glacier up to Sama, it is furthermore about half an hour walk up to Samagaun. Overnight at lodge with full board meals.
Day11 : Samagaun Exploration Day Today we will take rest and have some visit at Samagaun. After having breakfast we will leave guest house to explore the beauty of Samagaun. We will have a visit to a beautiful glacial lake- Birendra tal. On the way to Birendra Tal, you can see some old monasteries. Similarly you can even have trek to Manaslu Base Camp and enjoy the scenic beauty of MBC. Then after we will return back to lodge. Overnight at lodge with full board meals.
Day12 : Trek to Dharmasala (4,460m) - 4 hrs walk Our next point is Dharmasala which is about 4 hours far from Samdo. After having our yummy breakfast, we will set off for Dharmasala. If we are earlier, then we can visit some places of Dharmasala. Overnight at lodge with full board of meals.
Day13 : Trek To Bhimphedi (3,950m) vis Larkya La (5,215m) - 8 hrs walk Today is a little adventurous and longer trek than before as we have to walk for about 8 hours passing an altitude of 5215 meters. Our journey starts after we have our breakfast. The trial ascends towards Cho Chanda and then slowly goes steep up to the Larkya La pass which requires lots of strength and stamina. After we reach at the top, we can have the magnificent view of snowy peaks of : Himlung Himal (7,126m), Cheo Himal (6,820m), Gyagi Kung, Kang Kuru (6,981m) and the Annapurna II (7,937m) standing in front of us. After then we start descend down to Bhimphedi walking over steep path. Overnight at lodge with full board of meals.
Day14 : Trek to Tilje (3,900m) ? 5 hrs walk Conquering heights and length, the trial today goes easy and normal. The trial to Tilje goes through paddy fields with the moderate climbing. Moving forward, we have to cross Karcha La pass and then the trial drops down through fig trees and rhododendron forests to Tilje. Overnight at lodge with full board of meals.
Day15 : Trek to Tal (1,725m) - 5 hrs walk Continuing our journey, we will head to Tal after we have our breakfast. A 5 hours walk goes through the trial downstream of Marshyangdi River. On the way, we pass through some villages before we reach Tal. Overnight at lodge with full board of meals.
Day16 : Trek to Jagat (1,300m) - 5 hrs walk Another 5 hours walk and then we will reach to Jagat. Following the same river downstream the trial passes through Chamje village and Himal Pani Village. After walking for 5 hours we will be at Jagat. Overnight at lodge with full board of meals.
Day17 : Trek to Bahundada (1,275m) ? 5 hrs walk After having our breakfast, we will walk off for Bahundada. Dropping down for about 30 minutes, we will reach Sanjee village and then gentle climbing for about 15 minutesup to Gharmuu Phant. And then next two hours normal walk and about 30 minutes ascend, we will be finally at Bahundada. Overnight at lodge with full board of meals.
Day18 : Trek to Beshisahar - 5 hrs walk Last day of walking goes downstream the same river passing Naadi village on the way. The trial then goes through the bank of Marshyangdi River and Bhulbhule and Khudi village before we reach Besisahar. A 5 hours walk and then we will be at Besisahar. Overnight at lodge with full board of meals.
Day19 : Drive back to Kathmandu - 7 hrs drive After so long, we will drive back to Kathmandu by bus goes through Marshyangdi and Trishuli River. You can observe the people and their lifestyles staying beside the highway. After we reach Kathmandu, you will be taken to hotel. You can freshen up and have some evening walk around Thamel.
Day20 : Departure Day Today is your departure day, we will drop you to the International airport to catch your flight back to your home and pray for your Safe journey.
